2019 Enrolment Program Structure

To graduate you must complete the following:

  Students admitted to this program plan will be exempted from the Four (4) Business Enabling Courses on the basis of prior studies as detailed in the Articulation and Pathways section of the program guide:

The Master of Commerce degree requires the completion of 192 credit points (CP) comprising of the following:

  • 4 Business Enabling courses (48 CP) Please do not enrol into the Business Enabling courses as you will receive exemptions for these four courses
  • 1 Business Research Design course (this is also a Capstone course)(12 CP)
  • Business Specialisation sequence (4 courses) (48 CP)
  • 7 courses* (84 CP) from the approved Commerce Specialisations elective list comprising of:
    • Another Business Specialisation sequence (4 courses) (48 CP) and a combination of 3 courses from the approved Specialisation list only (36 CP) OR
    • A combination of 7 courses* from the approved Specialisation lists only (84 CP)

*Students can also select an international study program (study tour up to a total of 24 credit points) offered by the College of Business.

Capstone Courses are compulsory courses designed to consolidate the learning undertaken throughout the program and should generally be taken in your final year/semester of study.  Applications for credit transfer or recognition of prior learning will not be accepted for these courses.
