Program Learning Outcomes Statement
As a graduate of the program you will have the skills and knowledge to work effectively in the health sector, with an understanding of the Australian Health system and the major health issues facing Australia. You will be able to manage yourself and others in the work environment and you will bring the specific knowledge and skills of your chosen area of interest.
Over the duration of the program you will develop the ability to:
1. access up to date discipline information/knowledge and ensure that decisions and actions are informed by a critical assessment of information
2. analyse and interpret information to determine appropriate solutions to predictable and unpredictable situations
3. recognise and apply relevant technologies in health to perform work tasks
4. communicate effectively in a range of forms (written, oral) and with diverse audiences and cultural groups (community, clients and health professionals)
5. manage and develop your own work and lead and manage others within a health or community context
6. apply ethical practices and be committed to the ethical and professional standards in health
7. apply the knowledge and skills of your study stream in community or health care settings
