Purpose of the Program

The Bachelor of Business (Entrepreneurship) program provides you with the knowledge, enterprising capabilities, and confidence, to create and build your own ventures; and to undertake business practices in firms with a high degree of competency. You will develop a theoretical and applied perspective to business and entrepreneurship and experience dealing with complexity, uncertainty, deadlines, team work and multidisciplinary roles. You will engage with successful entrepreneurs, undertake case study analysis, enterprise formation and workplace experience. You will also attain strong industry linkages via a number of work-integrated learning (WIL) courses, in particular the capstone unit, New Venture Creation. This program provides you a pathway to pursue higher degree learning.

On the successful completion of the program, you will be able to launch and manage new ventures; work in business development for firms in different industry sectors; provide business consulting; and manage, and grow businesses in an entrepreneurial manner.

Entrance requirements

Academic Requirements:

For the RMIT Vietnam program you will have to have received the Bang Tot Nghiep Pho Thong Trung Hoc (Upper Secondary School Graduation Certificate) with a Minimum Grade of 7.0 to enter the program.

For entry via the Diploma of Commerce RMIT Vietnam, you must have successfully completed all of the requirements of this Diploma to be given entry to the program. Some students may enter the program with credit granted on the basis of studies already completed at an equivalent level. This cohort of students typically enters the program in the second year

A core focus of the Bachelor of Business (Entrepreneurship) is the establishment of strong industry linkages.

Two courses offer you access to industry via work-integrated learning (WIL) including Driving Innovation in Organisations in year two and New Venture Creation in year three.

In addition, you will be exposed to industry mentors, case study work, enterprise formation and workplace experience. For example, you will undertake projects in host organisations to apply the knowledge you have developed to solve authentic business problems and address real issues faced in a real life context.

The program is also supported by industry partners in the form of scholarships and bursaries: The Jacques Nasser Business Start-up Scholarships, The Jacques Nasser Entrepreneurship Travel Scholarships, Jacques Nasser Rural and Regional Bursary, and the Fastrack Innovation Program Prize.

Student expenses and charges in addition to fees

Once you are enrolled as a student in this program you will need to allow for expenses other than university tuition fees.  Additional expenses may relate to the purchase of lecture notes, textbooks, stationery, consumables such as printer paper, fees levied by commercial internet service providers for internet access outside of the university campus, and other relevant costs.

Library resources and services

As a student enrolled in a program at RMIT University Vietnam you can access the extensive services, facilities and study space provided by the Library. Resources include collections of books, periodicals and other course related materials.

All RMIT University students have unlimited access to quality electronic resources such as e-books, e-journals, newspapers, and streaming media. Library staff can show you how to find information for your assignments, or you can work through Library subject guides and web-based tutorials, or use our online Ask a Librarian service. 

Computers for study are available at every Library site and wireless access is available if you are working from a laptop or mobile device.
