Statement of capabilities

 The Bachelor of Business (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) has been built around the following eleven capabilities resulting from a stakeholder consultation process. The stakeholders consulted included, but were not limited to, alumni, industry (prime employers, students and the teaching staff), overseas partners and overseas teaching staff. The eleven capability dimensions are listed in the following table.

These capability dimensions are not mutually exclusive. They provide a “balanced approach” to generic business management as well as logistics and supply chain management and to generic business management practices. Each of these capability dimensions focuses on the specific areas that the stakeholders have stressed are needed by graduates of this program. In structuring the program, each of the above capability dimensions is broken into a number of capability statements as shown in following table. Each of the capability statements has been transformed in to relevant “enabling knowledge and skills” and embedded in the relevant course curriculum.
