Purpose of the Program

The Bachelor of Business (Digital Business) program is designed to respond to our current digital age, the disruption present in every industry and the changing face of work.

In a professional climate inspired by transformation and technology, the Bachelor of Business (Digital Business) prepares you for a future world of work where the only certainty is constant change.

The emphasis is on developing an understanding of key areas of contemporary business, the application of industry used tools and the development of essential skill sets and mindsets, this program encourages students to learn and engage in an agile and collaborative environment, developing the leaders of the next generation.

It provides you with technical and critical knowledge and skills in digital business to apply in diverse global contexts. A broad-based curriculum incorporates: IT strategy and governance, Financial Technology, creativity, innovation and design and digital business transformation. In addition to the core program courses you can take a range of minors and electives from across the College of Business, and from the University more widely. You can also learn a language and engage in study abroad.

Over the duration of this program you will participate in a variety of learning experiences which are designed to support you in developing skills as a digital business graduate. Learning and teaching approaches for this program may include lectures and tutorials, problem-based learning, case studies, work-integrated learning, assignments, projects and examinations. Activities and assignments are designed to facilitate theory application and peer learning in a friendly, open atmosphere and will incorporate contemporary content and resources and evidencing skills through a range of embedded micro-credentials as well as access to a wider marketplace of micro-credentials allowing you to curate and personalise your learning.

The final year of the program includes the capstone course BUSM4731 Digital Business Transformation which will provide you the opportunity to critically reflect on and consolidate your theoretical and practical learning.

The program will prepare you to work as a professional in a wide range of industries, government and non- government organisations.

Articulation and pathways

Credit pathways between RMIT University VET programs, Higher Education Diplomas & Associate Degrees in the same or related discipline, enable you upon successful completion of a lower level qualification, at the required standard for admission, to apply for advanced standing in a higher-level qualification.

Credit pathways between RMIT University programs enable you upon graduating from an RMIT University qualification to apply for advanced standing in a higher-level qualification.

Entrance requirements

Minimum Academic Requirements:

Successful completion of Year 12 (or equivalent) in Vietnam with an average of 7.0/10 or above;
Completion of International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with 25 points minimum;
Completion of Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Levels minimum 7 points for 3 A level subjects;

Student expenses and charges in addition to fees

Once you are enrolled as a student in this program you will need to allow for expenses other than university tuition fees.  Additional expenses may relate to the purchase of lecture notes, textbooks, stationery, consumables such as printer paper, fees levied by commercial internet service providers for internet access outside of the university campus, and other relevant costs.

As a student enrolled in a program at RMIT University Vietnam you can access the extensive services, facilities and study space provided by the Library. Resources include collections of books, periodicals and other course related materials.

All RMIT University students have unlimited access to quality electronic resources such as e-books, ejournals, newspapers, and streaming media. Library staff can show you how to find information for your assignments, or you can work through Library subject guides and web-based tutorials, or use our online Ask a Librarian service.

Computers for study are available at every Library site and wireless access is available if you are working from a laptop or mobile device.
