RMIT University is committed to providing you with an education that strongly links formal learning with workplace experience or simulation. As a student enrolled in this RMIT University program you will be assessed on structured activities that allow you to learn, apply and demonstrate vocational competency.
If you are working, particularly in a job which is related to your studies you will also be learning while at work and may have the opportunity to be assessed in your workplace for some or all of your courses. Feedback from work supervisors and others in the workplace can be used as evidence of competency, and an RMIT University assessor can visit your workplace to observe your work practice.
Apprentices studying this program will be attending the workplace on non-university days.

The Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Engineering (RMIT Program Code C6121, National Code UEE60411) is a qualification within the UEE Electrotechnology Training Package. This training package will be expired in October 2022 and therefore is to be replaced with a new version.
The current UEE Electrotechnology Training Package, UEE60411 – Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Engineering (C6121) has been superseded by the equivalent qualification, UEE60420, Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Engineering.
Students who are enrolled in the C6121 program and complete all the requirements by June 2022 will be eligible to graduate with the UEE60411 qualification. Students who fail to complete by June 2022 will need to transition into the new qualification UEE60420.
Students who transition into UEE60420 - Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology will need to enrol in additional units of competencies (UoCs) to complete the new qualification.
