External accreditation and industry links

The School has a very strong Industry Advisory Committee, which is the main link between the program and industry. Membership includes staff from Mechanical Industries based locally. The committee meets twice yearly and provides feedback on the currency of our programs, the changing needs of industry and has input into the design of new programs. It also actively contributes to the School through participation in seminars, marketing events, industry awards and scholarships.

This program is fully accredited by Engineers Australia. Graduates of this program will be eligible for graduate membership of Engineers Australia at Engineering Associate level.

The graduate capabilities for this program are designed to fulfil the requirements of the Stage 1 Competencies for Engineering Associates. The capabilities are developed and reinforced by the selected competencies incorporated in the individual courses as you progress through the program.  The range and extent of the Stage 1 competencies varies from course to course and relevant competencies are indicated by the assessment components in each course.
