RMIT University is committed to providing students with an education that strongly links formal learning with workplace experience or simulation. When students enroll in this program they will be assessed on structured activities that allow them to learn, apply and demonstrate vocational competency.
If students are working, particularly in a job that is related to their studies, they will also be learning while at work and may have the opportunity to be assessed in their workplace for some or all of their courses. Feedback from work supervisors and others in the workplace can be used as evidence of competency, and an RMIT University assessor can visit students' workplaces to observe their work practice.
Apprentices studying this program will be attending the workplace on non-university days.
