Approach to learning and assessment

The learning and assessment approach used for GC035 at RMIT is designed to prepare you for professional practice. The general approach is to apply a risk management model to hazards in the workplace, allowing you to recognise the context, evaluate the risk, and generate solutions.

Assessment approaches are used in this program to develop your capabilities. These are specifically designed to focus on developing an understanding of the knowledge and skills required by the OHS and occupational hygiene professional.

Assessments include:

  • reports to industry standard
  • individual and group presentations
  • quizzes, tests and exams
  • lab practical reports
  • literature reviews and critical analysis of readings
  • projects
  • reflective journals
  • case study and scenario analysis
