Approach to learning and assessment

The online learning experiences offered in this program are designed to foster excellence in project management practice and to support continuous improvement in your professional practice. You will develop your ability to integrate project management theoretical and conceptual knowledge with the practice of project management, and develop engage in  learning experiences which reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the profession.  

Your online learning experiences will engage you in a broad mix of learning activities including discussion boards, work based simulations, interactive on line discussions, group work, and industry connected projects. You will be encouraged to pursue your own intellectual interests related to the project management profession and your learning will be informed and enriched by current and emerging research into the profession of project management.

Assessment is designed to give you opportunities to demonstrate your knowledge and skill development. You will find that the forms of assessment used may be different for each course. depending on the course objectives and learning outcomes.

Your assessment in this program will include:

• Assignments and projects: some will require you to demonstrate your ability to work alone, while some will involve group work, requiring you to work as part of a team with other students;
• Reflective journals: where you pause to consider what you have learnt and reflect on the further development of the related capability;
• Presentations
• On line discussion forums

Courses are designed to ensure that you will practically apply theoretical concepts through a range of assessment and learning activities including industry based case studies, discussion forums, projects and assignments.
