Approach to learning and assessment

The learning experiences offered in this program are designed to foster excellence in project management practice and to support continuous improvement in your professional practice. You will develop your ability to integrate project management theoretical and conceptual knowledge with the practice of project management, and develop the skills required to effectively project mange diverse projects. You will engage in online learning experiences which reflect the types of professional practice scenarios you will experience within the IT industry.

Your learning experiences will engage you in a broad mix of learning activities including work-based simulations, interactive seminars, face to face and online discussions and industry and research led projects. You will be encouraged to pursue your own research and intellectual interests related to the project management profession and your learning will be informed and enriched by current and emerging research into the profession of project management within the IT industry context.

The learning experiences offered in this program are designed to develop your knowledge and skills in the field of IT. This program uses a variety of teaching approaches to ensure authentic learning experiences.

The program is supported by a range of e-resources. You will engage in diverse learning activities with a focus on student centred learning including case study analyses, face to face and online discussions, peer to peer presentations and work simulated scenarios. Your learning will be informed by current and emerging research into this field, both local and global.

Assessment is designed to give you opportunities to demonstrate your developed knowledge and skills.

The forms of assessment used may be different for each course. depending on the course learning outcomes.

Ongoing feedback will be provided by your lecturers and your peers to enhance your learning as you continue to refine your capabilities for your future professional practice and/or further study after graduation.
