The studies in Arts Management are structured to maximize your learning and to provide pathways to suit your professional and academic needs. Whether you are already working within or wish to work in the arts management field, you will gain capabilities that broaden your career opportunities as an artist or manager.
Upon completion of the program, you will have the skills, professional knowledge and capabilities to work effectively in the arts industry. You will be aware of the changing environment and able to operate effectively within the various contexts of this environment with practical skills, outputs and networks in Arts Management. The program is designed for the contemporary worker and workplace with the aim of fostering leadership in arts related fields. The program of study meets real world needs relevant to a wide range of arts management contexts.
You will be required to attend on-campus seminars throughout the delivery of the program so that you can critically engage with the lecturers, students and visiting industry professionals.
There will be regular opportunities to critique presentations of your own work and the work of others in a group setting with your lecturers and fellow students. The reading materials and associated texts for each seminar are available online.

This Graduate Certificate in Arts Management is an exit award that is associated with the MC280 Master of Arts (Arts Mangement) program. If you are enrolled in MC280 Master of Arts (Arts Management) and decide you do not want to complete the full Masters award, you can exit with this Graduate Certificate award upon completion of 48 credit points worth of study.

In Australia there are no professional bodies that recognise or accredit programs in Arts Management. Graduates of the program have successfully gained employment in arts related industries over a period of 20 years and are successfully working in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Norway, Switzerland, UK, Colombia, Chile and USA. The courses within the Arts Management program are delivered by arts industry professionals. The program maintains close links with arts companies and organisations.
The program is regularly monitored through the School of Art Industry Advisory Committee, which consists of external Arts and Photography Industry professionals, advising the School in facilitating a program that is relevant to the field of Art, both nationally and internationally.

Once you are enrolled as a student in this program you will need to allow for expenses other than university tuition fees. Other resources
As an enrolled School of Art student with an active NDS account, you can access computer laboratories throughout the University. For location details go to http://www.rmit.edu.au/its/studentlabs. There are
also computers for you as a School of Art postgraduate student located in Building 49 level C and Building 39 level 2.
RMIT will provide you with resources and tools for learning in this course through our online systems. The University Library has extensive resources for Art students and has produced a subject guide that includes quality online and print resources for your studies. Upon your enrolment, you will also be provided with an extensive MFA searchable reading list.
