The Graduate Certificate in Cloud Applications in Business uses highly structured learning activities to guide your learning process and prepare you for your assessments. The activities are a combination of individual, peer-supported and facilitator-guided activities, and where possible project-led, with opportunities for feedback throughout.
Authentic and industry-relevant learning is key to this program and you will be encouraged to critically evaluate what is happening in your industry and reflect on your experience to provide further insights.
The delivery will be aligned if you are a full-time working professional studying part-time and keen to learn from fellow students and build industry connections. To manage cognitive load, focused online materials (such as case studies, recorded interviews, and 15 min lectures) will be provided as a lead into self-directed activities for you to develop the automation knowledge. Fortnightly targeted feedback will be provided via hybrid tutorials that will be recorded for asynchronous learners. The learning community will be facilitated via an online platform (e.g. Teams) so you can chat to your peers and teacher’s asynchronously.
Social learning is another important component and you are expected to participate in class and group activities, share drafts of work and resources and give and receive peer feedback. You will be expected to work efficiently and effectively with others to achieve outcomes greater than those that you might have achieved alone. Above all, the learning activities are designed to maximise the likelihood that you will not only understand the course learning resources but also apply that learning to improve your own practice, for example, by producing real-world artefacts and engaging in scenarios and case studies.
Through this program you will participate in a variety of learning experiences which are designed to support you in developing knowledge and skills related to cloud technology for business. The learning and teaching approaches used in this program may include webinars, problem-based learning and case studies.
Assessment strategies will be based on the individual course requirements but will include a range of tasks including presentations, reports, and other authentic assessment activities. The activities and tasks are designed to facilitate the application of theory and encourage peer learning in a collaborative, open manner using online tools and interactive discussion forums. The assessment is integrated through the program to ensure that you graduate with a set of applicable skills and knowledge of cloud technologies and business practices.

If you have already developed areas of skill and knowledge included in this program (for example, through prior studies or work experience), you can apply for credit once you have enrolled in this program. There are no requirements for Work Integrated Learning in this program. However, you will be provided with practical application of theoretical concepts through a variety of means, such as exposure to real-world challenges through case studies and materials from industry experts.
