Approach to learning and assessment

The program uses a variety of contemporary learning and teaching approaches which may include workshops, seminars, case studies, studio practice, problem-based learning, reflective techniques (e.g. blogs, journals), online and face-to-face presentations, lectures and tutorials, group-based learning, and discussions.

Assessment will include a range of activities such as design projects, research assignments, reports, portfolio production, essays, presentations, and peer or industry review. Projects, reports and presentations will be directly related to industry specific needs and may involve making contact with industry practitioners regarding contemporary issues.

The assessment you undertake will be designed so that your lecturer and/or peers can provide you with feedback on strengths and areas for improvement in your practice. This approach will enable you to improve on your performance during the course and in subsequent courses, as well as continue to refine capabilities for your future professional practice and learning after graduation.
