RMIT Global Mobility provides a comprehensive orientation and registration program to all international Global mobility students each semester. Students will participate in an action-packed program with events and activities introducing them to the academic and social side of campus life.

This program is designed for students enrolling at RMIT within the following programs:

  • Exchange
  • Study Abroad
  • Cross-campus Studies (from RMIT Vietnam)
  • Inter-location Studies (from SIM in Singapore)

Day one: Explore RMIT

9:00am – 5:00pm: Student Registration

Registration commence at 8:30am

Students will find out everything they need to know about studying at RMIT for the semester, while meeting other students and experiencing a Welcome BBQ lunch and information fair!

Sessions throughout the day will cover:

  • Enrolment and Timetabling
  • Visa Requirements
  • OSHC (Medibank)
  • Student Life
  • Accommodation
  • Academic Advising

Day two: Explore Melbourne

9:00am – 4:00pm

Students will learn everything they need to know about living in Melbourne, including health and safety, travelling around Australia, Aussie Sporting Culture and more.

Sessions throughout the day will include:

  • Australian History & Culture
  • Health & Safety
  • Traveling Around Australia
  • Aussie Sporting Culture
  • Amazing race around campus & campus tours
  • Students will finish off the orientation program with a Welcome Party! Welcome Party commences at 5:00pm


Day three: Explore Victoria (Optional)

After an action-packed two days of orientation, students have the opportunity to participate in a day trip to one of Victoria’s most iconic sights, such as the spectacular Great Ocean Road or Phillip Island, while getting to know their peers.
