Gateway

Gateway is a structured process which examines and confirms critical decision points from project inception through to benefit realisation.

Gateway is applicable to all Capital Works delivered at RMIT University, including projects that have alternative funding sources. Gateway is applicable to projects delivered by Property Services, ITS and other RMIT business projects. This guideline relates specifically to projects delivered by Property Services, however the framework, gates and phases remain consistent for all implementations across RMIT.

Gateway ‘Light’ is for low risk and/or projects that require fast tracking. Approval of delivery via Gateway ‘Light’ should be identified/approved in Gate 1 via the Communication and Consultation Plan or direct approval from the Executive Director, Property Services.
