Hisham Attia

Hisham is an award-winning trainer. He designs courses and programs that enhance learning and engage students to develop leadership in their respective disciplines. He has been recognised for achieving excellent results on the Good Teaching Scale over consecutive years. His interest is discovering innovative business practices that present an opportunity for organisational change and business transformation, thereby fostering environmental awareness and responsibility.


Hisham teaches into a number of vocational business courses in the College of Business. These programs range from Foundation Studies through to Associate and Bachelor Degrees.

Industry experience

Hisham is a Director of Cortextual Pty Ltd, a professional services firm with a focus on Sustainability, Change Management, Continuous Improvement and Professional Development.

Hisham’s focus is in sustainability and how it presents an opportunity for organisational change and business transformation. Hisham designs and delivers continuous improvement programs to foster new ways of thinking using design thinking and system thinking methodologies. He also lectures in Business and Design at different Australian universities.

In the past, Hisham held senior sales and marketing positions, mainly in the high-technology sector, across Europe and Australia. He worked for companies, such as Siemens, Infineon Technologies and Giesecke & Devrient in business development and marketing roles. Among the projects he championed are the introduction of Telstra’s prepaid smart card chip, the supply of the Hong Kong Citizen ID smart card and the development of key smart card projects in several Asia Pacific countries mainly within the banking and financial services market.

An Engineer, Multimedia Designer and a Certified Trainer by profession, he has also chaired the Western Region Arts Network as President.
