Important change to communicating ICT issues
Following a review of the way ITS communicates ICT service interruptions, improvements are being made. As a result, you will notice a difference in the way that you receive this information.
In the event of an unscheduled incident, ITS will email key contacts via the ICT service status list (previously known as Notice of Break in IT Service - NoBITS) explaining what has happened and when service restoration is anticipated. A range of additional channels, such as social media, may be used depending on the severity of the incident.
New processes have also been finalised to improve the communication of scheduled service maintenance outages. From now on, a regular RMIT Update article will be published, providing a summary table of upcoming service maintenance outages, with a link to the ICT service status web page for more information about each change.
Please visit the ICT service status web page for more information.
