Would you like to develop your leadership and communication skills, make new friends and spend some of your free time in a meaningful way?

If you're enthusiastic, compassionate and outgoing, you can become a mentor for the 'Making Connections' Foundation Studies program. You will be paired with two other mentors to manage seven to nine Foundation Studies students.

The students you’ll be mentoring will be new to Australia and RMIT. In their transition to a different country, environment and culture, they greatly benefit from mentors who can offer friendship and guidance. Mentors are required to keep in contact the students regularly and organise social activities for their group.

As a mentor, you will receive training and an accredited LEAD Certificate. The Mentoring Program staff will also organise major events and they are free!

The program begins from mid June 2013, but you will need to complete one of the training sessions before the program starts.
