"Why did you go?

I went to the UK as I have a large amount of family here and have lived here on and off throughout my life. I also wished to obtain a co-op position in London post exchange and thought the best way of doing so was to be here in the flesh.

What was the best part?

I enjoyed the experience of a new city. Newcastle is rich in history and was very fun to explore. I also found the university system quite different and I really enjoyed it. I had some amazing lecturers who were so passionate about what they did and really cared about your progress in their subject. It meant I could create great connections that I know will be useful later on in my career.

What did you do?

I lived in a place called Jesmond which is where all of the students tend to live. Whilst there I worked in a local Italian restaurant whilst studying. I studied at the Business School in Newcastle. Whilst at the uni I was involved in the Yoga and Social Tennis societies which were great for meeting people. Newcastle also provided me a study buddy who was absolutely lovely and a real help with the whole experience.

Where did you travel before and after?

I traveled to various places including Portugal, France and many places within the UK."
