Overview of Assessment
Students must demonstrate an understanding of all elements of a particular competency to be deemed competent. Assessment methods have been designed to measure achievements of each competency in a flexible manner. Assessments will incorporate a variety of methods: class exercises, homework, practical project and tests. Students are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment work to their teacher to ensure that the relevant competency standards are being met. In addition to the assessments, formative feedback is provided to the students throughout the duration of the course
Learning activities will include class-based discussions, exercises, reading and reflection on various activities, as well as through experience in the Practice Firm in order to develop competency including the underpinning skills and knowledge.
Assessment Tasks

Students will complete a 5 - 10 minute oral presentation in small groups. All students are expected to participate in the planning and presentation of the oral report.
Full time students: Groups will be allocated based on the teams students are allocated to by the teacher for developing the Virtual Enterprise. The presentation will explain the processes involved in developing the Virtual Enterprise and how students contributed to team effectiveness while undertaking the tasks out outlined by the teacher.
Part time students: The presentation will be completed based on team activities held within class time.
Assessment 2 – Individual Assignment (30%)
Students will complete an individual assignment based on the theory covered in class and an interview held with an employee of a professional organisation. The assignment will be completed individually and students will be asked to provide evidence of interviewing the employee.
