Course Description
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to edit and manipulate an image captured digitally and to prepare for export to electronic image assembly. Students learn how to use Photoshop and retouch and edit photos. Images from a digital camera are edited

Learning Outcomes
Students will learn to assess the quality of digital images in so far as resolution, RGB to CMYK colour space and the evaluation of images for colour and tone requirements
Overview of Assessment
The photographed image meets the quality and look / feel requirements of the brief. The digital camera functions are used to capture the required image
The understanding of image editing should be transferable across associated sectors of the printing industry
Evidence for assessment may be gathered from assessment of the unit of competency alone or through an integrated assessment activity
