Learning Outcomes

Overview of Assessment

Students must demonstrate an understanding of all elements of a particular competency to be deemed competent.  Assessment methods have been designed to measure achievement of each competency in a flexible manner. Assessment will incorporate a variety of methods: the development of a range of portfolio documents produced in class, the demonstration of underpinning skills and tests.  Due to the complex nature of this competency, students may be required to demonstrate competency in any element more than once.  Students are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment work to their teacher to ensure that the relevant competency standards are being met.  In addition, formative feedback will be provided to students throughout the course.
