Learning Outcomes
This course will provide the learner to develop knowledge & skills and able to:
• Determine a company strategy for resolving complaints and disputes from sub-contractors, suppliers and architects/clients during construction.
• Employ personnel.
• Detail purchasing and payment procedures used in the building industry.
• Determine and analyse parameters affecting selection of:
o office equipment and location;
o site plant and equipment.
• List and explain how and why Government Authorities effect control on builders and building projects.
• List and describe influences that Equal Employment
• Opportunities (EEO) and Anti Discrimination concepts impact on the building industry.
• Describe Enterprise Bargaining/Agreements and how they affect the existing awards in the workplace.
• Define a contract and its essential parts
• Undertake basic contract administration tasks and duties.
