Course Description
In this course you will gain skills in the area of digital photography, including development and manipulation of photographic images ultimately integrating these into multimedia presentations.

Overview of Assessment
Students are required to complete class tutorial exercises, a proposal presentation and an individual based project along with supporting material. The focus of the projects will be in developing and extending digital photographic skills. The project will require the student to identify an area of interest to them and then to create a cover for a CD or DVD case. Assessment will be during the semester.
Assessment items will include:
a) 5 class tutorial exercises in Flash (5% each) - total 25%
b) Proposal presentation and document for CD/DVD cover below – 30%
d) Collage Project – create a CD/DVD cover – 45%
Assessment Tasks
a) 5 class exercises in Flash
An assortment of (5) class exercises are focussed on skills development within a vector environment.
Exercises are aimed to be able to be completed within class. Exercises must be marked in class during class time.
b) Proposal presentation and document for Flash banner
10 minute oral presentation of the proposal for the Major Project.
The presentation will include the project brief, central concept along with storyboards, research, development work and 2 design mockups for your banner design
c) Collage Project – create a CD/DVD cover
Students are required to develop a cover sleeve for a CD or DVD case. The subject matter is to be confirmed with the tutor, however it is aimed at being relevant to specific areas of interest to the student (eg band or film)
