Course Description
In this class the student learns to use a digital camera to obtain high quality photographs for use in digital production work.
Students will learn the basics of good photography and use various models of cameras to take photos. Adobe ’Photoshop’ will then be introduced for photo editing and retouching.

Learning Outcomes
Students will learn: Ability to use a digital camera
Ability to upload and processing digital images using IBM-PC and/or Macintosh
Usage of digital cameras and basics of photography, Image capture and editing. Image storage and file resolutions, battery handling and final output.
Overview of Assessment
Students will be continually assessed during classes, to ascertain that they are developing competence in digital camera use and editing.
A set number of class tasks will be required as well as a final project.
