This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to evaluate and adapt to a variety of technological changes within the cultural industries. This knowledge underpins effective performance in all sectors and applies to all people working in these industries

Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge of course content is assessed through participation in practical exercises and projects which involve the use of new technologies and looking at new business models.
Assessment Tasks
Assessment tasks in this course are either formtive or summative. Formative tasks provide the basis for ongoing feedback and can be cosidered as essential building blocks for the more substantial summative asseesment tasks. Summative assessment tasks in this unit are graded.

To demonstrate competency in this course, you will need to complete each one of the following pieces of assessment to a satisfactory standard.
FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT TASKS
1) iPhone /iPadAnalysis
Look at the iPhone /iPad. choose an existing App and explain how you could imporve on it. Analysis must be typed, 500 words and submitted to the teacher in class. DUE DATE tbc
2) Invent a New Business Model
Look at new technology available and consider an idea for a photography/imaging business. Point form is acceptable. Diagrams are acceptable.
For example: FaceBook is a new technoloogy, so formulate a business idea/model around how you could use this technology to make money. How might this idea work?
Business is an exciting and highly creative concept and you are to consider what it is to be an entrepreneur. How do you adapt to changing technology and use it to your advantage.
SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT TASK:
3. Design a new App for the iPhone/iPad that aids you in the business of being a photographer.
Give a 10 minute presentation to the class (using appropriate visuals) explaining your new busines model and how the new App for the iPhone will contriubte to the model’s success. Submit the notes for your presentation along with a full bibliography
