Course Description
This unit describes the knowledge and skills required by all workers who may be working primarily with clients with alcohol and other drugs (AOD) issues and provides a basic introduction to values, services and approaches applied to work in this sector

Learning Outcomes
Details of Learning Activities
You will be taken through a series of theoretical and practical exercises to support your learning in the area of Alcohol and Other drugs. These exercises are designed to provide you with opportunities to demonstrate your competency in the essential learning outcomes of this course of study. In addition to the in-class learning activities, you will be required to demonstrate your skills and knowledge in the workplace environment during practical placement.
Teaching Schedule
This unit will be taught over first semester, on Monday evenings. A timetable outlining specific times and dates will be provided to you during Orientation.
