Course Description
This course describes the skills and knowledge required to respond effectively to behaviours of concern in clients and others.
These skills are associated with handling difficult incidents rather than managing ongoing behaviours. This course is contextualised to reflect requirements, issues and practices specific to allied health workplaces.

Overview of Assessment
The assessment will involve preparing a journal, class room activities and online topic discussion with questioning to address appropriate application of knowledge.
Assessment Tasks
The students will be assessed using case studies, topic discussions, role plays and scenarios.The details about the assessment tasks and teaching schedule will be available through blackboard in RMIT Learning hub.
Students need to be deemed competent in all outcomes to pass the course.
