This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to design and produce various business documents and publications. It includes selecting and using a range of functions on a variety of computer applications.

Overview of Assessment

A range of assessments will be required and include the following:

• Send a message (with attachments) to their teacher using email technology.
• Prepare a report to Management on Budget versus actual results using WORD or POWERPOINT or both
• Complete a set of Journal and Ledger entries manually and electronically using EXCEL
• Prepare a linked document showing the Manufacturing Statement (Report) completed from the Ledger accounts (EXCEL)
• Complete a set of Stock cards using EXCEL
• Complete an exercise using reorder points to calculate stock orders required using IF statements in EXCEL
• Design a Tax Invoice document using WORD
