Course Description

This course describes the knowledge and skills required to work within a community development framework.

A community development framework may include a range of methods designed to strengthen and develop communities by enhancing individual and group capacity to confidently engage with community structures and to address problems and issues.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment for this course will consists of short answer written responses to a number of set questions and the development of a Community Development Project Plan.


Assessment Tasks

For this course you will be required to complete the following assessment tasks:

Assessment Task 1 - Short answer written responses to set questions: in this task you will be required to answer a set number of questions based on the content delivered in class.

Assessment Task 2 - Developing a community development project plan: in this task you will be required to respond to a set scenario and develop a project plan to support a community to find a solution to a shared problem. Time will be spent in each class working on this assessment.
