Learning Outcomes

Overview of Assessment

Assessment requires the production of a series of studio and location-based workbook exercises and folio-based assessment tasks. These must demonstrate evidence of knowledge and skills about the techniques of image capture, the properties and capabilities of exposure systems, plus the styles and types of images required in different industry sectors.

The selection and application of equipment, materials, lighting and image capture techniques consistent with the purpose of a brief together with the correct interpretation of the brief is critical to the judgement of competence in this unit. The assessment context also includes the presence of time constraints that reflect industry practice and standards.
