Course Description
In this course students develop the expression of ideas through the application of an extended range of printmaking processes, and at an increasingly sophisticated level while Health and Safety will continue to be addressed.
Students will be encouraged to explore the possibilities of printmaking through a lateral approach to the subject. Students will be given instruction in digital (Photoshop) and traditional technologies. Students will also be introduced to the idea of the exchange portfolio print. Emphasis will be placed on the students becoming more independent in their studio practice, as well as developing critical evaluation skills through participation in a group tutorial and regular individual tutorials. A book binding workshop will be held during the semester.
