Course Description
In this course students apply and develop knowledge of materials and methods in regard to the production of painting.
Students:
• Develop philosophical and cultural influences on own art work
• Incorporate historical and contemporary influence and knowledge within the production of paintings

Learning Outcomes
1. Produce a folio of paintings which demonstrates appropriate use of materials and techniques within a self-initiated proposal.
2. Produce a journal which documents and analyses contemporary issues and practice in painting.
3. Apply a personal conceptual framework for own paintings.

Studio based practice according to a proscribed project. Additional self initiated work.
