Course Description

The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to calculate estimates and the costs of making furniture.

1. Compare different costing structures for furniture making.
2. Calculate the direct and indirect costs involved in making furniture as a self-employed designer maker.
3. Contrast the differences between quotations and estimates.
4. Calculate profit margin and breakeven points when making furniture.
5. Define the different payment terms for stock and materials.

• Production of costing model for furniture product
• Production of costings for all products produced in workshop pieces
