Course Description
The purpose of this module is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to conduct a competency self-assessment and prepare evidence for a recognition of prior learning / recognition of current competencies portfolio.

Learning Outcomes
1 Conduct competency audit
 Identify the key features of a competency standard/competency statement
 Determine the requirements of the qualification
 Identify previous training, work and life experiences
 Conduct self assessment and discuss with assessor
2 Prepare competency portfolio
 Discuss evidence of current competencies requirements with assessor
 Collect and collate evidence for portfolio
 Submit evidence to assessor
 Complete RPL if appropriate
