To enable learners to compose shots, position a camera, select appropriate lens, and lighting equipment and operate a camera.

Participate in: Collection, Set up and Pack up of lighting gear, audio and cameras on location and in class and safe return to Store A as required. – 30%

Performance of practical demonstrations of shooting setups in classroom and on location.  – 40%

Complete equipment checklists and reports for Director/ Camera/ Sound.– 30%


Assessment Tasks

Participate in:
Collection of lighting, audio and camera gear from Store A.
Set up of lighting gear, audio and cameras in class and on location.
Pack up of lighting gear, audio and cameras on location and in class and safe return to Store A as required.
Applies to Minor project and The Brief  and is further clarified in first class.

Performance of practical demonstrations of shooting setups in classroom and on location.
Answer oral questions at various stages to demonstrate understanding of underpinning knowledge. Conducted throughout the semester.

Completion of relevant equipment checklist Dir/ Cam/ Sound and submission of

  1. Completed Directors report
