Course Description

The students will learn about the planning, installation and configuring of the network hardware to a LAN and WAN infrastructure. This course is co-delivered with Install and Configure a Network and it maps the elements/topics covered by CCNA 1 of Cisco Network Academy Program. On successful completion of the unit and co-delivered unit, the students will receive the “CCNA 1 – Networking Basics” certificate of course completion, issued by Cisco Networking Academy.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including technical requirements documentation, homework and in class exercises, written tests, practical problem solving exercises and practical tests. Students are advised that they maybe be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment work to their teacher to ensure that the relevant competency standards are being met.
