Course Description

In this course the students will learn about health and safety issues in the working environment when dealing with computer hardware. This course is co-delivered with Operate Computer Hardware, Connect Hardware Peripherals and Connect Internal Hardware Components which map most of the elements/topics covered by Cisco’s HP IT Essentials-I and CompTIA’s 2003 A+ Core Hardware Exam.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including technical requirements documentation, homework and in class exercises, on-line tests, practical problem solving exercises and practical tests. Students are advised that they maybe be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment work to their teacher to ensure that the relevant competency standards are being met.

Final examination is close book on-line test.
