Course Description
Students enrolled in this course will develop skills in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL) to create database structures and manipulate data within a client-server database system.
The course will cover the use of SQL as a Data Definition Language (DDL), Data Manipulation Language (DML), Data Retrieval Language. Students will also have an introduction to the use of SQL as a Data Security Language and Transaction SQL.
The course will focus on SQL techniques used to create, populate and manipulate databases, as well as to retrieve data in a variety of ways.
Major topics in this course will include:
1. Basic SELECT queries
2. SQL functions
3. CREATE TABLE queries
4. Action queries
