Course Description
This unit describes the function associated with gathering, analysing and evaluating all relevant data for the transaction following confirmation of initial instructions from the client.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course students should be able:
- To demonstrate a complete appreciation of documents in use in the conveyancing transaction such as the contract note, contract of sale and vendor’s statement and the relevant legislation and cases that apply to their interpretation.
- In addition mastery of other related topics will be expected including the real estate industry, consumer legislation, requisitions and searches.
Overview of Assessment
Assessments may include: short in class exercises, class tests, question and answer activities, assignments and open book exams.
Students will be provided with formative feedback to establish their progress in the course and identify areas which need more work.
