Course Description
This course offerers a general study of the principles required for developing a range of knitted fabrics as well as acquiring basic understanding and skills required for designing and production of knitted fabrics. The purpose of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and experience in: the fundamentals of knitting processes,
fabric Construction and using fabric analysis techniques to create a range of knitted fabrics, flat Bed knitting machine processes needed to construct a range of knitted fabrics, circular kittling machine processes needed to construct a range of knitted fabrics, understanding of the principles of production and manufacture of knitted fabrics and how this may affect the properties and performance of the fabric.
