Course Description

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to prepare and confirm workplace practices for use in a textiles, clothing and footwear (TCF) workplace.

Outline:
The development of any garment through to production requires detailed knowledge of all aspects of the product. This includes establishing product quality requirement in relation to customer expectations; Selecting acceptable quality fabrics/trims/accessories; Use of correct industry terminology in identifying garment details/machinery and finishes; Producing specifications that communicate clearly to suppliers/manufacturers/wholesalers/retailers.

• Digital diagram with details included
• Individual assessment completed in class time
• You will be given ongoing feedback as course progresses.
• Folio submitted for summative assessment on specified dates (refer to week to week.)

Your are requested to develop 2 appropriate specifications for your Final product. The findings will be presented in a specification pack, including: a quality checklist and specifications. The pack should contain the following aspects:
