Course Description
This unit specifies the outcomes required to encourage and support the development of a learning environment in which work and learning come together. Particular emphasis is on the development of strategies to facilitate and promote learning and to monitor and improve learning performance

Learning Outcomes
Students will study and learn through tutorials, case studies, group work and prescribed exercises and assessment work.
Details of Learning Activities
This unit comprises a range of learning activities such as tutorials, online activities, case studies, videos,group work and exercises.
Students will also be engaged in:
- Observation and investigation ( Problem Solving )
- Research,collect and analyse data (Planning & Organising )
- Group discussion on Workplace learning and Learning environments
- Use of technology for reports or data collecting ( Technology )
- Use of self evaluation ( Learning )
- Online activities (Technology )
- Use technology to present information ( Communication & Technology )
Students are engaged to explore the elements that are part of " Developing a Workplace Learning Environment" this includes Instilling a learning culture,Learning organisations,Creating and supporting learning opportunities,and creating Knowledge workers.
To capture the above students will develop and present ( Workbook ) the concept and delivery of a 8 Hour TCF Industry based Training and Development program

Overview of Assessment
A person who demonstrates competence in this standard must be able to provide evidence that they are able to facilitate the development of a learning environment. They must be able to show evidence of the ability to identify workplace activities which facilitate learning, and negotiate learning arrangements with training and development specialists. They also must be able to develop strategies to monitor performance of individuals and the team and use this to improve learning effectiveness and future learning arrangements.
Assessment Tasks
Assessment for this unit will be :
- The submission of a TCF industry based 8 hour training program
- A small group presentation of such training plan
