In this course you will explore the knowledge and skills required to liaise and facilitate linkages between community services including specialist and generalist services in the community to ensure support of people in need

Details of Learning Activities
You will be involved in learning activities in 1 evening workshop which will include group discussions and group work activities based on workshop content. You will also be required to undertake independent studies. Reflection on your own work context is a significant aspect of this course and you will be given opportunities to discuss and think about your own practice

Overview of Assessment
The assessment activities for this course require you to demonstrate how you work with groups and organisations to facilitate links that benefit your community members. You will identify appropriate services and groups to develop links with, provide them with relevant information about needs, strength and activities and provide input to these services and groups that will enhance their ability to meet the needs of the service delivery to your community.
Assessment Tasks
For this course you will be required to complete and submit 2 assessment tasks.
Task 1: Promotional Flyer /Brochure
You will required to design and produce a simple A4 brochure describing your organisational profile, addressing specific cue questions that detail important factual information about a fictitious or real organisation which supports your community development project work
Task 2: 15 minute Presentation
Using a specific scenario provided to you in the assessment plan you will be required to develop and present a 15 minute powerpoint presentation, responding to specific questions which outline the key aims of your project and highlight the reciprocal benefits and advantages your work could provide to other potential partnering organistions. You will also be required to describe the arrangements you developed and utilised in the development and implementation of your project
