Course Description

This course contains some of the underpinning knowledge of a program, which designed for a person to be able to undertake design, select, install, commission, maintain and carry out repairs on advanced electronic equipment and systems.
The Knowledge and skills addressed in this course include:
• HTML and browser scripting, Web Applications (server scripting), Windows Applications with Internet data link
• Experiencing Engineering Practices in Industry or Completing Engineering Project as specified.

Overview of Assessment

This is a progressive assessment, the underpinning knowledge will be assessed on the completion of each course, but the competency itself will not be signed off until further courses related to the competency are completed and the student is deemed competent.
The students are required to undertake summative assessments as follows:
• Work Placement / Work Simulation Project
• A Pass in Schedule Practical Exercises

Assessment Tasks

The total grade for the course is calculated on 100 point scale and derived from :
• up to 70 points for Project Development;
• up to 30 points for the final MCQ test

In addition to the points acquired through tests, the students are granted bonus points for:
• active participation in the class and online discussions,
• proposing and implementing enhancements, which go beyond the project specs and contribute to the quality of the project application
