Course Description

This course :

  • provides the learners an up to date knowledge of the way in which the electrical and electronic industry bodies perform a vast range of duties such as customer service calls, installations, preventative maintenance schedules and workshop repairs.
  • enables learners to participate in the day to day activities for their chosen career path.
  • sets up a communications bridge so that learners and the industry representatives have an opportunity to evaluate each other in terms of possible employment.

The overall assessment of the subject is made up as follows:
100% Workplace Assignment/project
The student has to present a completed record in the form of a booklet for Industrial Placement endorsed by the supervisor of the workplace.


Assessment Tasks

To complete this course successfully, the learner will have to secure an industrial plcement and get the report from the industry with the description of the work performed and the level of performance. The performance level during the work placement should be satisfactory to obatain a pass in this course.

The learner must perform as below to pass this course:

The learner will elegantly apply appropriate facts, rules and standard solutions to achieve an unfamiliar task or problem with confidence.
