Course Description

This unit covers direction of project activities in situations where a person has strategic responsibility, accountability and decision making for the overall management of complex project(s). It includes identifying project scope in a strategic context, managing establishment and integration of project activities, and finalising and reviewing project activities. The unit is designed to enable you to apply your learning to a contemporary workplace situation. The integration of work-based learning and academic learning, commonly referred to as Work Integrated Learning (WIL), will allow you to solve authentic business problems or address real issues faced in organisations. You and your class will be provided with the opportunity to receive industry feedback on your learning activities or assessment tasks.

Learning Outcomes


Overview of Assessment

Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including technical requirements documentation, homework, assignments, group and/or individual projects and in class exercises, written tests, practical problem solving exercises, presentations, practical tests and a final exam. Students are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment work to their teacher to ensure that the relevant competency standards are being met.
