Course Description

This unit covers the skills and knowledge to source materials and resources that are required for the production of textiles.

Learning Outcomes

After completion of this course, learner would be able to able to identify the criteria of suppliers selection in Australia and Overseas, specially for textiles and supply chain issues being arisen due to the bottlenecks and constraints. Learner would also be able to order and receive texilte materials and fulfill the documentation required.

Assessment 1: Presentation on "Identify the impact of globalization on Supply chain and supply chain performance".

Assessment: 2: Major hands on report "Discuss the supply chain and supply chain issues of Garment manufacturing / textile company".

Assessment 3: Exercise on sea freight and Air freight calculations.
