Course Description

This unit covers skills and knowledge to map and establish a supply chain process for a textiles, clothing and footwear (TCF) operation.

Performance Criteria:

1.1Projected requirements regarding TCF stock supplies, product quantities, quality and delivery schedules are confirmed.
1.2Identified issues and problems concerning projected requirements are documented.
1.3Resources, supply requirements, availability of machines and personnel are identified and confirmed.
1.4Regular and occasional supply needs are identified and conditions documented
1.5The flow rate for each category of TCF product is determined

2.1Business conditions for supply arrangements are established in consultation with senior management
2.2Specifications for raw materials, products and production processes are confirmed

2.5Communication and documentation protocols are established

3.1Specific information relating to TCF supply chain capacity is obtained and confirmed.
3.2Internal processes are established to ensure receipt and supply of TCF products meet enterprise conditions, quality standards and resource requirements
3.3Purchasing organisation's viability is assessed through the collection and analysis of information
3.4Terms of payment offered by each buyer are obtained, negotiated for advantage and analysed for impact on finances.
3.5Ongoing research is conducted to assess new trends and conditions that may influence supply and demand in the TCF industry

Performance Criteria:

4.1TCF Production planning records are maintained and reports prepared to ensure supply information is accurate and current
